SYCAMORE SUMMER PROGRAMS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Summer Camp Dates and Times

• Sycamore offers 7 weeks of summer camps. Sycamore offers FULL-DAY camps from 8:00-4:00 and half-day AM & PM camps over 7 weeks. AM camps run from 8:30-11:30 am with PM camps running from 1-4pm. Camps are available for children as young as incoming PreSchool through incoming 8th grade.

Summer Camp Registration

• Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Enrollment will be limited. Waitlist registrations will be considered by each camp instructor.
• A 50% deposit is required for each camp to confirm your summer camp registration.
• Registration for all camps will CLOSE two weeks prior to the start of each camp. There will be no late registrations.

Summer Camp Refund/Transfer Policy *New as of January 1, 2023*

• 100% refund if registration is cancelled more than three weeks prior to the start of the camp.
  • A $15 processing fee will be charged to all cancelled camp registrations
• 50% refund if registration is cancelled less than three weeks, but more than two weeks prior to the start of the camp.
• NO refund will be given when registration is cancelled less than two weeks prior to the start of the camp.
• A full refund will be provided when a camp is cancelled by Sycamore School
  • The 15% processing fee will be waived in this circumstance.
• Transfers will be permitted when camp enrollment is still available.
• Refund exceptions, due to extenuating circumstances, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Sycamore uses a third-party credit card processing service which will encourage you to purchase insurance. DO NOT PURCHASE the insurance, this is an unnecessary expense which Sycamore will be unable to assist in refunding.

Summer Camp Extended Care

• Summer Camp Extended Care opens at 7:00am and closes at 5:00pm. The cost is $150 per week.
• Extended care IS INCLUDED at no cost for any student (Non-Sycamore or Sycamore) registered for both an AM & PM camp, during the same week.
• Adding Summer Camp Extended Care to a single AM or PM camp is only available to currently enrolled Sycamore students and their siblings registered for a summer camp during the same week.
• Summer Camp Extended Care is not available if a Sycamore student is not enrolled in a summer camp.

Drop-off Procedures

• Drop-off will be at Sycamore's main entrance no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start of camp (8:15am for AM camps and 12:45pm for PM camps).
• Students will be checked in at the summer camp check-in table prior to entering the building.
• Parents are asked to walk their child to their camp classroom on the Monday of the start of each camp.

Pick-up Procedures

• For pick-up parents will park their car, enter Sycamore's main entrance and head directly to their child's camp. Camper will be picked up from their classroom by their parent. Sycamore summer staff will be available to help direct parents to the correct classroom.
• Pick-up when attending an AM camp only must be no later than 11:40am
• Pick-up when attending a PM camp only must be no later than 4:10pm
• A late fee of $5/minute will be applied to any child not picked up by the above mentioned times. Fees will be collected by the end of the camp.

Lunch and Snacks

• Sycamore does not provide lunch during summer camps.
• Students participating in both an AM and a PM camp during the same week should bring a lunch from home. Lunch supervision will be provided by Sycamore summer staff.
• A snack will be provided during AM and PM camps.
