SSA / Sycamore Parents

The Sycamore School Association (SSA) is a volunteer-led parent and family organization that supports the programs, philosophy, and community of Sycamore School. In other words, our school’s “PTA”. As such, every Sycamore family is a member, with an Executive Committee that plans events and shares social and volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

Community Connection:
SSA fosters school spirit and meaningful family connections through social events that enrich the Sycamore experience. From parent-organized classroom parties in EC and Lower School to multi-grade events in Middle School, SSA supports meaningful connection at every grade level throughout the year. In addition, SSA brings the entire community together through a series of all-school events.

All School Social 
Sycamore’s “Back to School Night” for students and families to visit classrooms, meet teachers, catch up with friends, and greet new families before classes begin.

Spirit Week
A week of wacky dress-up days and an all-school food drive in support of a local food pantry. The week ends with a “Sycamore Spirit Day” all-school pep assembly.

Fall Parent Social
Parents Night Out is hosted by SSA at a rotating local gathering place. A kid-free event, details will be announced at the start of the school year, so pencil-in your sitter now!

Gifts Galore
A Sycamore holiday tradition! SSA hosts a 2-day “pop-up” market  where students can shop for loved ones and bring purchases home wrapped and ready for the holidays!

Sycamore Carnival
An all-school family event held typically after winter break featuring carnival style games, activities and food!  

Staff Appreciation Week
During this celebratory week, the SSA thanks teachers, administrators, and staff for a wonderful year with daily treats and other expressions of appreciation.

Fundraising
In partnership with the Advancement Office, SSA supports fundraising efforts through volunteer coordination and community engagement, helping enhance the educational experience for all students. 

Grandparents' & Special Friends’ Day 
Grandparents or special friends of current students  visit Sycamore for a fun morning of special activities 

Auction for Advancement / Trivia Night
Our school’s yearly community fundraising event in support of the Sycamore Fund
