Sycamore competed as two teams in the Indiana Junior Academic Quiz Bowl tournament on Saturday (March 4), sweeping the top two spots in the final results. Sycamore A ( Sameer Zaidi, Annalisa Schuth, Riva Jain, and Alessandro Salerno) finished 1st overall. Sycamore B (Evan Ting, Gavin Sigua, Jeffrey Kirkenedall, and Shayen Maun) finished 2nd. The final match was an all-Sycamore Quiz Bowl match for the championship.

Sycamore has now secured two spots in the Middle School National Academic Quiz Tournament finals held May 12-14 in Chicago, battling more than 200 Middle School Teams competing for the national championship. Sycamore's Quiz Bowl teams are coached by longtime Middle School History Teacher Tony Young.
