Preschool Teaching Assistant
Sycamore School has an opening for a Preschool Teaching Assistant position in its Early Childhood Division for the 2023-2024 school year.
In this position, you will be expected to support your lead teacher and assist your fellow colleagues in creating an engaging and collaborative environment for our youngest gifted learners. As a teaching assistant your responsibilities will include: instructional time with small classroom groups, student supervision in the classroom, in specials, and outdoors, administrative support for the teacher, and other tasks as assigned by your lead teacher, Division Head, or Head of School.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working with students aged 3-5 years
- Experience with Gifted and Talented or High Ability learners is highly preferred
- Experience working in a team environment
- Comfortable developing and maintaining appropriate positive working relationships with parents and colleagues
- Flexibility and willingness to perform duties as assigned by lead teacher, Division Head and administration
