Eight students advance to National History Day state competition

Seventeen sixth graders and three seventh graders competed in the National History Day district competition on Saturday (March 11) for a chance to advance to the state level of competition. From Sycamore, eight students will be moving on to compete in the state competition on the campus of Ivy Tech on May 6.

Also, it was a veritable Sycamore School reunion with approximately a dozen former students competing in the Senior Division from Carmel High School and North Central and at least six of those advancing to state.

If you'd like to see these projects, and more, for yourself, we will have a History Day Afternoon of Awesomeness on Wednesday, March 15 from 3:30-4:45pm in the Hagerman Family Commons. Feel free to stop by!
