Talon Ted Talks

Inspired by the series of inspirational and motivational TED talks held across the world, we have incorporated Sycamore's Talon Ted (the school's eagle mascot) into the name and will feature three Sycamore alumni speaking in 15-minute segments about their current passions. 
Free admission (must be 21 and over) to staff, current parents, alumni over 21 and parents of alumni - featuring hors-d'oeuvres and drinks.  Please RSVP before November 15 using the button below!

Tom Ridgely ('93) - Executive Producer of the Shakespeare Festival in St. Louis. He’s directed or co-directed HamletBlueprint Specials, GOODBAR#9The|King|OperettaMarco Millions and The Persians, among others. In New York, he’s directed at Red Bull, Ars Nova, FringeNYC, Public Theater, Fordham, 59E59, Symphony Space, Barrow Street, NYU/Tisch, Theatre Row and more. Nationally he’s developed/presented work at Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Old Globe, and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. His productions have won DFW Theater Critics Forum and ECNY Awards and been nominated for CT Critics Circle, IT and New York Magazine Culture Awards. 

Amanda (Burney) Ross ('00) - Amanda, a graduate of U.S Naval Academy, where she received a full-ride scholarship, is currently a Lieutenant Commander and pilot in the U.S. Navy, stationed at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, CA.  She is a member of the VX-9 (Vampires) squadron and conducts Operational Test and Evaluation for the Navy for new software and weapons systems for the F/A-18. She previously was a member of the Strike Fighter Squadron 94 - the Mighty Shrikes, based at Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA. (2012-2015).  She recently performed a flyover at Notre Dame/Navy football game in San Diego.

Matt Kroeger ('03) -  Matt is a graduate of Xavier University, where he was a part of the University Scholars program. Matt graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts for Graphic Design. Currently, at Bottom-Line Performance in New Palestine, he was named their Visual Design Manager in 2018 after working as a multimedia developer. Matt also has side projects, notably his comics work, #DoGood social media posts, and Spark of Madness podcast.
