Join Sycamore Head of School, Diane Borgman, as she hosts a book discussion about The Parents We Mean to Be by Richard Weissbourd. Weissbourd is a Harvard psychologist whose expertise lies in the area of children's moral and emotional development. In this book, he argues that well-intentioned parents can actually be detrimental to their children's moral and emotional development through their focus on their children's happiness. He offers strategies for raising moral and mature children who can manage themselves and take responsibility for others. // 7:00pm

Join Sycamore School Middle School teacher, Beth Simpson, as she leads a book discussion about The Girl with the Louding Voice by Abu Dare. In it Adunni, a fourteen-year-old Nigerian girl, endures a series of unfortunate events in her quest to get an education. This book is will be discussed using the Harkness Method that Beth employs in Middle School Language Arts. // Time TBA
