Conference for Middle School Girls on Careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math

Curiosity, Confidence, Challenge, a conference for Middle School girls on STEM careers, will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020. The event is designed to heighten girls’ interest in STEM careers and help them select high school courses that will lead to success in college. The conference features a series of small group workshops led by women whose professions include cardiology, mechanical engineering, coding, veterinary medicine, and many more!
Registrants will participate in five workshops, with preferences selected from a list of multiple disciplines. This year’s conference will also feature Full STEAM Ahead!, presented by the WonderLab Science Museum. Although parents may not attend the workshops with their daughters, they are encouraged to attend a free parent forum from 2:00-3:00 in the school theater. Samantha Outcalt, Psychologist, Sycamore School, will discuss Stress and Resilience among Middle School Girls.
