THE SYCAMORE FUND
For 36 years, Sycamore School students have benefitted from those who have given generously of their time, talent, and treasure. The vibrant life of our school is made possible by the ongoing philanthropic support and volunteerism of all community members including parents, board members, staff, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, foundations, corporations, and friends.

The Sycamore Fund is the school’s highest fundraising priority. As with all independent schools, Sycamore relies on our community to give annually to help us fund projects and programs that make us the unique school we are. Your tax-deductible donation goes to work immediately, benefiting students in the current academic year. Your gift affects their daily experience and is a direct investment in:
  • Financial aid for qualifying students
  • Professional development for our talented and dedicated faculty
  • An encouraging and competitive athletics program
We encourage you to make a meaningful gift commensurate with your family’s personal circumstances. Every gift makes an immediate impact, is deeply valued and goes towards the exceptional educational experience that Sycamore provides.

Sycamore encourages donors to make a gift or pledge prior to December 31.  We call that campaign 100 in 100.

Our unique mission of providing an accelerated and enriched education to gifted students and our successful track record of helping students reach their potential differentiate us from other schools. However, a Sycamore School education is not sustained by tuition alone. Generous donations each year make a significant difference. With the continued support of our community, Sycamore will continue to be one of the top independent schools for gifted students in the country.

IN HONOR OR TRIBUTE GIFTS
Making a gift to the Sycamore Fund in honor or in memory of a loved one or cherished teacher is a wonderful way to pay tribute to him/her. We will send an acknowledgment to the honoree or family of the honoree as well as provide you with a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution. Teachers receive special letters telling them of your gift. When giving online, in the comment box below, tell us about your tribute/in honor of/in memory of the gift.

The 2021 100% in 100 days campaign for the Sycamore Fund is officially underway! All parents, faculty and staff members, alumni, parents of alumni, trustees, grandparents, and friends are invited to support the school by making a philanthropic gift from September 23 – December 31, 2021.

Gifts from the Sycamore School community are crucial to the ongoing academic and financial health of the school, and ensure that Sycamore continues to provide highly gifted students with the support and education they need to lead responsible, constructive, fulfilling lives.

Last year, with the help of the Sycamore Fund, Sycamore was able to respond to the COVID crisis by purchasing an air ionizer that improved the air quality for the whole building.  We renovated some Middle School spaces to increase classroom square footage, which assisted with the spacing requirements of COVID management. In addition, we doubled our cleaning budget and increased our technology bandwidth as a direct response to distance learning needs.  All of these necessities were met along with assisting with more than $860,000 in financial aid for deserving students.

Thank you for helping us reach our goal of 100% participation in 100 days by considering an online gift. If you would like to make a tribute gift or a gift in honor of someone, please list the name(s) of the honoree(s) in the comment box below.
