We are excited that your 1st Grader is interested in our summer program!  Below is a list of camps that students currently entering 1st Grade can sign up for.  If you want to learn more about a specific camp, click on the name below.  If you have questions about our policies and procedures, please see the Information link on the right.  We also offer full day care during weeks we only a morning or afternoon camp works for your family.  To learn more about this Extended Care click on the FAQ.

  • Week 1: May 31st - June 3rd

    May 31 - June 3, 8:30 – 11:30AM, Grades 1 - 4, Cost $180. Join Miss.Sou for a unique camp experience this year where we sculpt & paint cute gnomes in tiny cottages using mixed media & acrylic paints! This fun camp teaches kids to mold clay to craft little sculptures and paint on canvas giving our art a 3D look. We will learn to blend colors, use crafting tools to add textures, and finally customize our masterpiece with fun decorations. We will paint a cute gnome, an adorable mushroom cottage, a tiny snail cottage, a teapot fairy cottage & more! Great camp for all ages!     May 31 - June 3, 8:30 – 11:30AM, Grades K and 1, Cost $144. Exploring chemistry + things you find in your kitchen = Kitchen Chemistry!  Not all experiments need dangerous chemicals and fancy labs; you can explore science in your kitchen.  We will be measuring and mixing, cooking and baking.  Science in a kitchen is fun and tasty.  Instructor: Catherine Kirkendall

Love to play soccer?  Interested in learning about other sports such as golf, hockey or volleyball?  Join our JumpBunch coach as they teach fitness and FUN, all while teaching students the skills of various sports.  Soccer will have a focused time every day of camp with all other sports being changed each day.  Universal skills of all sports will be taught in an interactive and non-competitive environment.  Come join the FUN with JumpBunch!  Instructor: JumpBunch staff

    June 6 - June 10, 8:30 – 11:30AM, Grades K through 2, Cost $180.  Improve your young player’s fundamental basketball skills with this awesome sports camp! With 19 years of coaching experience at all grade levels, Coach Branigan will help participants learn to improve their footwork, dribbling, passing, and shooting through exciting drills, games, and activities. Individualized instruction, partner work, and team play skills will promote good sportsmanship and build character during this seriously fun week! Instructor: Kevin Branigan

Never Played?  That's O.K.!  We use a Creative Play method of instruction that makes learning this complex game easy.  It is a fun, imaginative, and energetic camp!  We play on tournament boards and sets, integrate chess variants, and other various games and activities, to keep things interesting.  Children learn advance concepts together.  We promote an all inclusive, encouraging, challenging, and supportive program.  The benefits of learning chess are tremendous and students love learning with their heads in the clouds.  Students can sign-up for the morning and afternoon camp.  Instructor: Colin Hargreaves, Cloud City Chess

  • Week 3: June 13th - June 17th

    June 13 - June 17, 8:30 – 11:30 AM, Grades 1 - 8, Cost $210. Karate is a fun and exciting form of martial Arts. All students are respected for individuality and progress at their own rate. Discipline and self control are gently encouraged. Students will learn the appropriate use of karate along with strategies to avoid and manage conflict.  The camp will be led by Jeanie Gensheimer, a 7th degree black belt in the style of Shorei Goju Ryu. Last year, 11 of her students earned black belts (one of them started in a karate camp, just like this one!) Sensei holds degrees in Early Childhood Education from Ball State University, and a Masters degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Butler University. Her goal is for each student to find and develop their own strengths. Instructor: Sensei Jeanie Gensheimer

    Gymnastics Camp    
                
    June 13 - June 17,1:00 - 4:00PM, Grades K - 2, Cost $210. Gymnastics is the BEST sport to develop strength, coordination and flexibility. Campers will have a great time while learning new skills and developing confidence with movement. Children will be respected for individuality and will progress at their own pace. Appropriate challenges and encouragement will be given to new gymnasts and to those with more experience. We will work on tumbling skills, rolls, cartwheels, rounds offs, back bend bridges, walkovers and back handspring drills. We will work on the beam, bar, and springboard. Rhythmic gymnastics skills will also take place (hoops, ropes and balls.)  Gymnasts may wear shorts and a t-shirt, girls can wear a leotard if they prefer. No tights unless they don't cover the feet (they are too slippery.) We will take an outside break each day and have a snack. Please send a water bottle (marked with their name) with your child.     June 13 - June 17,  1:00 - 4:00PM, Grades 1 - 4, Cost $216. Do you want to learn the ancient art of being zen? Then, sign up for a week of yoga and mindfulness with Silly Hearts Yoga for Kids.  You'll learn a variety of yoga poses to challenge both your body and mind as well as experience yoga and mindfulness through games and music.  Each day, you will have an opportunity to use your creativity with a yoga-related craft or hands-on activity.  Students will receive their very own yoga mat to use all week. At the end of the week, that yoga mat is theirs in order to continue on their journey to becoming zen at home. This camp is for everyone! No yoga experience is needed- just an open mind and a willingness to try new things. Instructor: Silly Hearts Yoga

    June 20 - June 24, 8:30 - 11:30AM, Grades 1 - 4, Cost $180. We are back with another fun dual camp this year! Join Miss.Sou to make all new slimes & take a canvas craft home each day of the camp week. We will make unicorn glitter slime, funky orbeez slime, scented clay slime, and glossy magnetic slime from scratch using our special recipes. We will also paint cute animals on canvas with rainbow colors and decorate them with dazzling embellishments. Take home slime in a special crafty container & a beautiful painting each camp day this summer!

    June 20 - June 24, 8:30 – 11:30AM, Grades PreK - 2, Cost $180. Learning and creating are fun!!! In this activity, students will create a variety of projects, such as play dough, slime, crayon molds, fuse beads, ice cream, and so much more!! Instructor: Allison Nisonson

    MyArt Art Camp - Club Pokemon

    June 20 - June 24, 1:00 - 4:00PM, Grades 1 - 4, Cost $220.  Myart camps are uniquely designed with enough structure and guidance to build artistic skills while allowing enough freedom to be creative. Each camp has projects with multi-layered pieces utilizing all mediums and a variety of materials. Themes include Summer Paintings & Mdf wall art, Club Pokémon and Mouse Ears and Magic! Since opening our first Zionsville studio in 2000, we have taught thousands of children how to draw with the internationally acclaimed Monart method.

Campers will predict, experiment, and build. They will also engage in storytelling and create simple "make and take" masterpieces that tie into our daily science lesson.     June 27 - July 1, 8:30 - 11:30AM, Grades K - 3, Cost $180. Get ready for an adventure of EPIC proportions...SuperHero Training is here!  Run as fast as The Flash, smash like The Hulk and fling your shield like Captain America.  Participants will use all their superpowers as they explore what it means to have the character of a superhero through interactive games/ obstacle courses and fitness fun.  A daily craft will be included in the camp.     Pottery w/ Ripple Mobile Arts
                    
    June 27 - July 1, 1:00 - 4:00PM, Grades 1 - 8, Cost $210. Create awesome works of art with clay and glass! Wooly mammoths, owls, dragons are just a few of the items we will create during the week.  Explore the details of creating with the combination of clay and glass.  All items are made from scratch.  Every child will have a chance to use the pottery wheel twice.  Some items will be make and take and some will be fired and delivered about 3-4 days after camp to the school for pickup. Each day with Crouching Tigers will be jam-packed with fitness, character development, martial arts, self-defense, safety, and games.
