  • Week 1: Game Incubator 6/1 - 6/4, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    June 1 - June 4, 8:30 – 11:30AM, Grades K through 4, Cost $144.  Ever wonder what scientific methods go into creating a game?!?!  Want to create games of your own?!? During this camp, students will use skills like observation, making predictions, creating/testing ideas, collaboration, and problem solving, all while creating their very own original games.   • Week 2: Checkmate Chess, 6/7 - 6/11, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    June 7 - 11, 8:30 - 11:30AM, Grades K – 8, Cost $180.   Do you know how to play chess?  Never played?  No problem!  Are you a good player who wants to improve?  This is the camp for you!  Taught by the locally famous Learning Through Games group that is known for making chess fun!  Camp will consist of fun lectures, recess, and enjoyable chess games!  Good camp for all levels.  Instructor: Learning Through Games  
  • Week 2: Chess Games and Variants, 6/7 - 6/11, 1:00 - 4:00 PM

    June 7 - June 11, 1:00 – 4:00PM, Grades K through 8, Cost $180. Play chess and many exciting offshoots of the game.  Crazyhouse, Atomic Chess and much more! Good for all levels and taught in exciting and fun way for kids! Instructor:  Learning Through Games
  • Week 2: Through the Magnifying Glass, 6/7 - 6/11, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    June 7 - June 11, 8:30 – 11:30 AM, Pre-K and K, Cost $180.  Does your child enjoy hands-on science experiments? Then, Through the Magnifying Glass is the camp you should choose! During this camp, we will be studying and experimenting with chemistry and insects/spiders. A few activities include:  cleaning pennies, making charcoal gardens, eating home-made ice cream, looking at spider webs, learning the life cycle of a butterfly, and much more!   • Week 2: Treehouse Travelers: Medieval Times 6/7 - 6/11, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    June 7 - June 11, 8:30 - 11:30 AM, Grades K and 1, Cost $180. The Magic Treehouse books set the stage as medieval times come to life! Students will explore the unique lifestyle of medieval castle-dwellers through literature and hands-on activities. Led by Mrs. Miller, this camp is sure to be an unforgettable one!   • Week 2: Art Extravaganza, 6/7 - 6/11, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    June 7 - June 11, 8:30 – 11:30 AM, Grades K through 4, Cost $180. It is said that “art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness.” Well… be ready to get happy with this amazing art camp led by Mrs. Sweigart.  During this week, students will create, explore, paint, craft, and much, much more.   • Week 3: Strategy Games, 6/14 - 6/18, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    June 14 - June 18, 8:30 to 11:30AM, Grades K through 8, Cost $180.  This camp is for kids that love strategy games.  There will be fun lectures, interactive learning games, and recreation.  Games include Chess, Chess variants, Axis and Allies, Risk, Stratego, and much more!  Kids can also bring in their own games to be played.   • Week 3: Bughouse Chess 6/14 - 6/18, 1:00 - 4:00 PM

    June 14 – June 18, 1:00 – 4:00PM, Grades K – 8, Cost  $180.  Do you like chess?  Then you will LOVE Bughouse!  This game has the complexity of chess while at the same time begin fast paced, fun, and team oriented.  Kids will learn teamwork and tactics taught by the locally famous Learning Through Games group.  The fun never ends in Bughouse Chess!   • Week 3: Young Adventurers Nature Camp, 6/14 - 6/18, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    June 14 - June 18, 8:30 – 11:30 AM, Grades K and 1, Cost $180. Trees! Bees! Streams! Oh my! Through hands-on discovery, experimentation, and their own curiosity, students will foster a respect for nature by learning about and interacting with the environment during this exciting week. Outdoor areas around Sycamore will be utilized as much as possible to seek out and study local habitats and critters. Expect to come home dirty!! Instructor: Linda Nichols
  • Week 4: Storybook Science, 6/21 - 6/25, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    June 21 - June 25, 8:30 – 11:30AM, Pre-K and K, Cost $180. Leap into the science found in some of our favorite stories! Each day, students will read a different story and conduct hands-on experiments to test the story’s scientific accuracy or scientific elements. Students will love bringing home artifacts each day to show their families and share the fun and learning that happens at this fantastic experience. Don’t miss out! Instructor: Catherine Kirkendall
  • Week 5: Li'l Explorers Nature Camp, 6/28 - 7/2, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    June 28 - July 2, 8:30 – 11:30 AM, Pre-K and K, Cost $180. Trees! Bees! Streams! Oh my!   • Week 6: Teddy Bear Adventure Camp, 7/12 - 7/16, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    July 12 - July 16, 8:30 – 11:30AM, Grades K through 2, Cost $180. Bring your favorite furry friend for a week of excitement! Throughout the week, students will take their favorite stuffed friends on adventures, such as teamwork and engineering challenges, scavenger hunts, art and literature projects, and even a picnic on school grounds! We hope you join us for a “bear-y” special time!! Instructor: Julia Cassel
  • Week 7: Jr. Pottery Wheel Fusion - STEAM

    July 19 - July 23, 8:30 - 11:30AM, Pre-K and K, Cost $180 PLUS $25 lab fee. Come learn about dinosaurs, rare birds, mazes, and other exciting topics. Then, build these creations in clay! Students will combine clay, glass, and the pottery wheel each day to create 5 AWESOME projects to go along with their learning.  No experience is required for this amazing experience. (All projects will be fired and returned to school for pick-up 4 weeks after camp.) Instructor: Jeremy South, Ripple Mobile Arts.
  • Week 7: Tiny Tinkerers, 7/19 - 7/23, 8:30 - 11:30 AM

    July 19 - July 23, 8:30 – 11:30AM, Pre-K and K, Cost $180. Come design, build, concoct, discover, and play!! Incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students will spend the week learning how to take risks, solve problems, and persevere as they tinker.  Each day, students will challenge themselves as they use various materials to solve problems.
