Alumni Outcomes

Continuing Education after Sycamore

After graduating from Sycamore, our students continue their academic pursuits at some of the finest high schools and universities, where they are involved in visual and performing arts, athletics, leadership, service, and so much more.

We recently hosted a virtual alumni panel for our Middle School students and parents as they prepare for high school. We asked these alumni how Sycamore prepared them for high school. Click here to hear their responses!

Sycamore has given me an infinite quest for knowledge, the ability to ask for help, and, most importantly, lifelong friendships.
(Nate, Class of 2021)

Sycamore was 100% the right decision for me. It allowed me to be academically and socially stimulated while surrounded by kids who are like me. The teachers are personally invested in students' lives, and leave a deep impact on all of us. Sycamore allowed me to blossom and find a crowd and a place to express myself.
(Aanchal, Class of 2018)

Sycamore has provided me a tremendous advantage over others at high school. In AP classes, I am able to thrive and score highly because Sycamore has prepared me for the classes. I am so proud to come from such a great school!
(Ava, Class of 2019)

I took all advanced courses and did not have to test into any of them. Sycamore prepared me extremely well for the classes that I would have to take. I was rarely afraid to approach my teachers with questions, something Sycamore taught me to do. I am now taking five AP courses my senior year, and took four my junior year. I believe the solid foundation that I gained from my two years at Sycamore prepared me to succeed in these classes.
(Claire, Class of 2017)

Without Sycamore, I wouldn’t have had as good as a foundation in English, Math, History, Science, or in any of my other subjects.
(Irene, Class of 2018)

I think Sycamore prepared me very well and for the rigorous courses (IB and AP) that I took throughout high school. Sycamore also instilled a love of learning, which I still hold today.
(Laura, Class of 2017)

One of the greatest things Sycamore taught me was time management skills. Not only was I taught how to complete my homework in a timely manner but I was allowed to pursue professional musical theatre outside of school, which played a high role in helping me develop and better my time management skills. These skills have been so important in high school not only to manage my course load but also so I have time to devote to extracurriculars and social activities.
(Mary Kate, Class of 2018)

The thing that makes this place feel like it does is the people. Everyone has a little extra kindness, a little extra perseverance, a little extra something. When I arrived here in seventh grade, I was immediately surrounded by people who wanted to learn, who wanted to grow into better people, and ultimately, people who just wanted to be friends. I didn’t have to seek out new people to hang out with; they sought me out. Sycamore is like a family.
(Hanna, Class of 2020)

I’ve grown so much not only as a student at my time at Sycamore, but as a person. I’ve learned to grow from my mistakes. Sycamore has given me new opportunities and pushed me to become a better person.
(Rohan, Class of 2020)

My Sycamore education has made me the person I am today, ready to take on whatever the world throws my way. This experience allows me to move forward and pursue my goals and dream for the future, and has provided a great foundation for my education that can be built upon. Along with the classes provided here at Sycamore, the extracurricular activities here have provided outlets for me and my classmates to find our niche and passion.
(Akshay, Class of 2020)

The teachers and faculty have modeled kindness and inclusiveness, and these are traits I hope to use in high school and later on in the real world. I now feel prepared to take on the world.
(Meera, Class of 2019)
