Periodically, Sycamore School initiates a campaign to raise funds for construction or renovation of campus facilities. Our most recent capital campaign, For Minds and Bodies raised over $5.2 million to build a new library, theater, gymnasium, cafeteria expansion and Lower School remodel.
Building and endowment campaigns ask families and friends to make larger, more thoughtful gift commitments, often fulfilled over several years.
As with Annual Giving drives, participation by the Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, and current families is an important indication of the project's depth of support and is weighed heavily by foundations and other institutional donors in their grant making decisions. |
