North Central High School Music department was well represented by Sycamore graduates

On Saturday, May 5th, the North Central High School Music department was well represented by Sycamore graduates as the department swept the ISSMA state championships in Band, Mixed Choir, Treble/Men's Choir, and Orchestra.  This was a repeat performance of their amazing sweep of the Band, Mixed Choir, and Orchestra championships in 2006 (2007 was the first year for the Treble/Men's Choir category). The NCHS 2006 sweep of all of the categories was the first time in the 20+ year history of the ISSMA state finals, and they managed to repeat this amazing feat again in 2007 with an additional category added!  This remarkable accomplishment was realized through the hard work and dedication of the students and their directors Rick Granlund (Sycamore parent), band; Pat Wiehe, choir; and Soo Han, orchestra.
