As Sycamore's Head of School, Diane Borgmann returns to a community
she had been an integral part of for eleven years. Diane was the
first Head of Lower School at
Sycamore School, beginning in July of 1994. She
continued in that role until June of 2005, adding the additional
responsibilities of Associate Head of School in 2001. Prior to her
appointment as Sycamores Head of School, Diane was the Lower School
Director at Greensboro Day School in Greensboro (NC). She has
been actively involved in the teaching or administration of gifted
students since 1980. Diane earned a bachelors degree in elementary
education from DePauw University
in 1975, her masters in elementary education from
Butler
University in 1978, and her gifted and
talented endorsement from
Purdue
University in 1988. Diane
is married and the mother of three children all of whom graduated
from Sycamore.
Dr. Susan Karpicke is
the Director of Admissions and School Counselor at Sycamore. She received her doctorate in education from Indiana University in 1977. Susan began work counseling and testing at Sycamore in 1988, and became the Director of Admissions in 1993. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor, Career Counselor and School Counselor, and holds memberships in the American Psychological Association, and the National Association for Gifted Children. Dr. Karpicke is married and the mother of two children both of whom graduated from Sycamore.

Glenna Lykens is the Head of the Lower School at Sycamore. She came to Sycamore as a 4th grade assistant in 1999 and was a lead teacher in 1st grade at Sycamore from 2001 to 2005. She also taught in elementary schools in Ohio and North Carolina. Glenna received her
bachelor's degree in education from The Ohio State University in 1978, her endorsement in
gifted and talented education from Ball State University in 2004, and her
master's degree in educational psychology from Ball State in 2006. She is a member of the National Association for Gifted Children and the Indiana Association for the Gifted. Glenna is married and has two grown daughters.

Mike Waller is the Head of Middle School at Sycamore. Previously he served as Headmaster of Mooreland Hill School (CT) and St. Clement's Episcopal School (TX). Mike, who began his independent school career in 1979, has experience as a teacher, coach, assistant headmaster, middle school director, secondary school placement counselor, and athletic director. He holds a
bachelor's degree from the University of California, Irvine and a
master's degree in education, with an emphasis on private school administration, from the University of San Francisco. Mike has served on the Board of Directors of the Independent School Association of the Southwest and the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools. Mike is married to Maria-Elena and has two children.

Francine Clayton is the Interim Head of Early
Childhood at Sycamore. She has a masters degree in elementary
education from the University of Michigan
and taught kindergarten and first grade prior to coming to
Sycamore in 1997. In addition to her twelve years of teaching
pre-kindergarten at Sycamore, Francine has been an active
participant in the early childhood admissions and screening
processes for many years. She is married and has two grown
daughters.
Larry Fletcher is the Director of Technology at Sycamore. Mr. Fletcher received his MBA degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1992. He has worked at Sycamore School since 1998. Larry is a member of the National Association for Gifted Children, Indiana Computer Educators, Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators, and the International Society of Technology Educators. He is a Certified Novell Engineer and an
adjunct faculty member of Indiana Wesleyan University. Larry is the father of three children.

Christine Dallman is the Director of Development at Sycamore School. Christine holds an undergraduate degree in art history from Wheeling Jesuit University , and she started her career in that field at the Smithsonian's National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Ms. Dallman's background includes over 14 years of advancement/fundraising success, project management, business development and marketing. She most recently served as the Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer for the Riley Children's Foundation. Ms. Dallman is a parent of a current Sycamore third grader and has served on the Sycamore's Board of Trustees as Chair of the Development Committee.

Patrick Juday, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer at
Sycamore. Patrick graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State
University in 1993 with a degree in accounting. Prior to arriving
at Sycamore, Patrick served over a ten year period as Controller
at The Orchard School and Director of Finance and Operations at
Traders Point Christian Academy. Continuing education toward
maintaining his CPA designation has been focused on non-profit
finances. He is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Patrick is married and
has one child.
